The Sound of Silence.

Some days, I’m sick of the sound of my own voice out there in the universe.

Have a happy, blather-free weekend, everyone.

Hug a kitty…..listen to the birds who sing their hearts out….take a walk and let the soft breezes wash over you.
    These days will pass

I look forward to reading your blog every Friday but I also appreciate you wanting to be quiet. Hopefully next week you will have more wonderful things to show and say. If not, will wait.

I can relate! Just got back from the lake — lots of silence there and it was so nice!

Silence can be many things. Most of them praiseworthy. Sometimes it is needful for us to seek solitude, silence, and quietness. If there is one thing we lack in our modern world it is the peace and quiet needed for pondering, taking stock, listing our countless blessings, and realizing what really matters in this life. Even living in the far reaches of the corn and bean fields of southern Michigan, I need frequent solitude and quietness … no cell phone, no cyberworld, no “noise” from the culture surrounding us. We need the breeze through the trees, the birds, the silence of woods and fields. or, simply a few moments of aloneness with a fragrant cup of hot tea.

Take your time, dear friend. Do not haste back because of us. We will wait, relishing our own quietness and the gift of silence.

Happy Trails, dearest Vivian, as you grow in grace and understanding … only two of the worthy by-products of silence. You are greatly loved by many, but by One far more than there are stars in the heavens.
